Mission
- To foster and promote Tamil language, literature, values, traditions, culture and art.
- To provide a secular, non-sectarian and non-profit literary organization for all Tamils living in and around Central Ohio.
- To provide a forum for the younger generation to participate in literary and cultural programs and to showcase their talents.
- To host events involving Tamil scholars and artists from around the globe for Tamils in Central Ohio and surrounding regions.
- To organize events by cooperating and coordinating with other Asian, Indian, and regional organizations with similar objectives.

Sivaji inauguration
Inaugurated by Nadigar Thilagam Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan. CTS began as a small informal assembly of Tamil immigrants in Central Ohio.

Tamil School
A volunteer-staffed Tamil School so the younger generation can keep its language and cultural heritage.

Mutthamizh events
CTS hosts Iyal, Isai and Nadakam. Artists and public figures including P. Chidambaram, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Mano, Karthik, S. Ve. Sekhar, Y. Gee. Mahendran, Crazy Mohan, Gopinath, Prof. Solomon Pappaiah and Pattimandram Raja have appeared on CTS stages.

CTS is a secular, non-profit organization and is recognized as tax-exempt 501(c)(3) by the IRS. It also extends help to the motherland in times of need or disaster.
Today CTS is a strong organization of more than a thousand members and dedicated volunteers.
